Live Butterflies

OMG My Butterflies Just Arrived !
I'm so excited I've been waiting on them for almost two weeks now.
They came all the way from bright sunny California to live with me.

Okay, who want to see what's in the box, lol.
''Well, I dunno about any of you but I sure do!''

Okay, okay I know you wanted to see a little more..... here we go !!!

I'm sooooooo happy! I haven't had any live butterflies since October of last year.
The last few times I've ordered them they arrived  rather late in the year.
These little one's will be my spring babies:)

Pinkness overload

My little pink goddess just arrived yesterday.
She made the trip all the way from New Zealand to the United States without one hair on her pretty little head getting damaged.

Oh, I almost forgot to mention, she came with a few free pieces of clothing

Still need to have her hair re-rooted. I think I'll attempt it myself .
I was looking at this lovely cotton candy pink colored Mohair hair online
Combed Kid Mohair Doll Locks 1.5 oz 7-9 inches Pretty Pink

I want her to have big poofy hair. not that I don't like her hair. I just don't like how thin it is.
I will also have to add more to her face -Makeup wise. I want to give her long lashes and sparkle eyes. And while I'm at it I need to come up with a name for her.I think it will  be a fun summer <3

Zombie Attack in Miami Result of Cocaine Psychosis?

Zombie Attack in Miami Result of Cocaine Psychosis?

By Brittney R. Villalva , Christian Post Reporter

May 29, 2012|11:33 am
A man shot Saturday after eating off the face of his victim, could have been suffering from "cocaine psychosis" a new report has revealed.
Miami police shot 31-year-old Rudy Eugene a number of times after he continued to maul his victim's face. Police suspect that Eugene may have been suffering from "cocaine psychosis," according to the Huffington Post, which stated that few other details had been released.
"The guy - he was like a zombie, blood dripping; it was intense," Larry Vega, a biker was riding nearby and witnessed the incident, told reporters. "I never thought I would see someone eating someone. It was really, really horrific."
Cocaine psychosis can cause "violent, erratic and paranoid behavior among heavy cocaine users," according to the Chicago Tribune. The disorder, which at times can mimic the symptoms of schizophrenia, became a growing issue in large cities as early as the late 1980s.
"Cocaine Psychosis Taking Its Toll" was written by Peter Kerr for the New York Times in 1987 and attempted to explain the early signs of a growing disorder.
"Dopamine levels suddenly rise when cocaine enters the body, resulting in a profound sense of euphoria, and drop again as the drug wears off," Kerr explained. "Psychotic symptoms can develop after dopamine levels rise repeatedly. And even in cases where full-fledged psychosis does not develop, users tend to be highly agitated and prone to violence."

Kerr also said that psychosis was most likely to occur in users who had been abusing cocaine for a long period of time. Although the Miami Herald reported last year that cocaine use in the city was down due to economic hardship, cocaine use has long been prevalent in the area.
Eugene's victim, believed to be a homeless man, was in the hospital recovering on Monday in critical condition, witnesses said the man's face was left barely recognizable.
Eugene was "growling like an animal as he swallowed pieces of flesh," before officers fired the initial shot, according to the New York Daily News. Following the initial shot, the suspect continued "chomping on the man's ears, nose and cheeks -- and even tried to gouge out his eyeballs," before cops fired several more shots. Eugene was killed at the scene.
More recent medical reports have revealed a definitive link between cocaine psychotic disorders, which include cocaine-induced psychotic disorder with delusions and cocaine-induced psychotic disorder with hallucinations.

Blue

Blue the elephant lived in the zoo.
She remembers being there even before she was two.
Her mother lived in the same cage and was always around
Her mother was there when blue first walked around.
For many years together they lived in that zoo
Then one day blues mother died and she did
not know what to do.
The men came and took her mother away
and blue would not smile after that day.
She was eating her lunch, some hay on the floor
when the zebra adressed her. he lived right next door.
I see you dont smile so much anymore.
Blue just turned her back to the door.
He continued on without missing a beat.
I would love not to yell in this hot heat.
So blue turned back and waved her ears all around
The zebra said a smile is a frown upside down.
You should try it as quick as you could
You should try quickly it may make you feel good.
Blue said I'm said cause my moms not around
the zebra said would she like that big frown.
She would want see you to be happy
Not see you all sad. You should try what i say it might not be bad.
Now blue was always the literal sort.
And with her trunk she started to snort.
My mom would not like to see this big frown
so let me try right here to turn it upside down.
Now another might have tried to just smile but instead
Blue decided to stand on her head.
She started it right her feet firm on the ground.
Then the back legs they lifted 3 feet off the ground.
she could not quite balance and over she fell
But she would not quite as everyone can tell.
The head is too round she said in a funk,
then said "hey why i don't i stand on my trunk."
Even though her ideas were all bad
Blue was determined to no longer feel  sad.
So firmly she planted her trunk on the ground,
and that's just when oddly a crowd came around.
They gaped at her boldly as slowly rose
and raised 15 feet on the tip of her nose.
Blue was happy cause she had won this big fight.
she was happy for the first time tonight.
That's when a man who ran a circus in town.
Was out in the zoo taking his son around.
He saw blue standing on her trunk and he said
"The zoo keepers office" and that's where he sped.
He donated a generous amount to the zoo
They gave him free passes some popcorn oh and blue too..
She now performs her feat on the circus's stage
Her picture on t-shirts and her toys all the rage.
She has not felt sad since that day in the zoo
and all to the zebra that she owes it all too.Copyright ©2012 by Avabunny

The finished Little Red Necklace

I finally finished the Little Red Riding Hood Necklace ..WOOT, WOOT !
All work and images © Avabunny 2012

As you guys can see I made it so it can be worn as two separate pieces. I went with only one hand painted little portrait because the woman buying it wanted it that way :(  So, I get to keep the other two, yay me!

I don't know if you can tell from the picture but I mounted the canvas piece to a strip of leather.

This is how I did it. I bought some soft leather , fabric glue, and  then went to work.

This is a picture of the back of the canvas piece after I mounted it to the leather.
                                                               Here's a  side view,lol

A silhouette of the BIG BAD wolf.

Yep back to little red again, lol.                                                    All work and images © Avabunny 2012

Okay, I have made a big decision regarding the necklace I'm working on. Because I can't choose which little portrait to go with for the cameo, I have decided to take all the little portraits and cut them out kinda like paper dolls and hang em off the necklace.

I believe they will be sturdy enough to do this because they were all painted on little canvas sheets.
This is my latest one,It's a silhouette of the wolf.

I have to give him a few more teeth up top, but other then that I like him.I made the teeth a little bit thicker then I normally would have because when I cut them out I don't want them to end up being to slender. Tho when I cut em out I will  shape them into more of point

I also wanted to show you guys some little charms I will be using in the necklace

When all of these little portraits dry I will flip em over and paint the backs with a mixture of Indigo and Ivory black. . I want them to look as though they were pulled from a burning fire.
I may even burn em a little ..I dunno tho.

On a side note: I was also messing around and drew a butterfly made out of flowers. it's far from done.                                                                 Yeah I known it's silly*~*

Bad kitty

I did it!. I finally bought another doll !
A  few weeks back there was a custom blybe/basaak cat on eBay. Yep this one !
CIMG7733
Anyway I didn't get her :( But  I was able to contact the nice young lady who made the first one,
and I asked her to do one for me. And she did, and better yet she finished it on Saturday !.

I just love the fact the customizing was done so I can add to it.
Even tho she has pink hair I plan on having her rerooted with either pink Alpaca or mohair.
Yes I want her to have big poofy cotton candy hair, lol.
CIMG7763
I also would like to give her little fangs like this one here.

I'm so excited to be getting her because she kinda reminds me of Cleo from the Heathcliff show

Well to me she does,lol

Little red yada yada yada

Another attempt at little red for the cameo. .                            All work and images © Avabunny 2012

As you can see it's super small
I put the little frame near it just to show you how tiny it is.
I'll have to work on this some more . Needs more shading ,
                                                     highlights yada yada yada.
I wish I could add more to this but I have to do just the face so I can fit it in the cameo:(
I'm most likely going to do another one where I give her a body just for fun*~*

Little red and the big bad cloak

As I was talking about in another blog I was commissioned to make a little red riding hood necklace with a dark theme. so, not only did I learn how to make barbed wire out of leather today, I also was painting these tiny little pictures of little red that will go in a tiny cameo for the necklace. Anyway, the painting has turned out okay at best, mostly because I'm not use to painting on a three to four inch scale. Okay, this is what I got so far.

                                                                      practice wolf,lol

Little red wearing the big bad wolf like a cloak, lol

This is an apple I sliced open and it came out looking like a heart<3

Okay, back to little red, lol. This is where I left off. I have to go back tomorrow and finish it.
This painting is actually really small I just zoomed in with my camera . I painted Little red wearing the wolf like a cloak because the idea of such a sweet little girl taking on this huge wolf and winning to the point of where she can walk away wearing him is ummm... pretty freakin' cool.

How to make a barbed wire necklace

A week ago I got commissioned  to make a necklace with a little red riding hood theme.I was  told  to make it with a dark theme. (think broken glass and barbed wire)  I found a tutorial on how to make barbed wire necklaces out of leather online. It was so easy I'll share it with you guys.

All you'll need for this project is a yard of thin leather . I picked up cording leather.
It was 2.99 for 3 yards

Take two feet your leather and folding it in half  and tie a knot on one end like I did.

Then  twist the two strips of leather together .

When you reach the end you can knot off the other side. should look like this.

Next you'll take some of the left over leather and cut 3inch strips . Cut enough to go around the necklace.

Then tie em around the necklace. when finished it should look something like this.

Next you'll trim the pieces down to give it a spiky look .

Well there you have it !..
Mine is actually going to be a necklace I just put it on my wrist to show you what it would look like when your done. You could make a bracelet as well:)  All work and images © Avabunny 2012

New Watercolor -Emo Chicks

This a picture of a new watercolor painting I'm working on for fun
All work and images © Avabunny 2012
I don't know if it's obvious to anyone that this is a Blythe dolls head in a birds nest. Well it is!, lol.
It's not finished yet. If you look closely you can still see pieces that haven't been painted in yet.
I think the nest came out looking more like a bowl..hmmm.. at least to me it does.

I do have another drawing  with pretty much the same concept but it has bigger roses and the birds are more centered with the tree branch under them as opposed to a top. I think with this particular painting I'm going to make the pink around the eye drip down more almost like blood. I was originally going to make the roses black to give it more of a Gothic feel to it.
Anyway, there you have it ....Emo chicks, lol

Floating Fairy House

Awhile back I talked about making floating Fairy Houses, Well  I'm almost finished with one! .

It' a bit of a time consumings process you see. You basically take a balloon and rub it down with Vaseline. Then you start wrapping the Vaseline covered balloon with yarn that was soaked in fabric stiffener, and you can also add glitter like I did.

After you have wrapped the balloon completely you let it dry out for a day or so.

Once dry you can pop the balloon and pull it out and  go to work designing your fairy house.
This is how mine looks so far.

As you can see in the pictures once mine dried I cut a large hole in the middle added white cotton fluff to make a floor . I added little birds a top and dangled chains and sparkle piece off the bottom. I also wanted to furnish the inside of the house with little people stuff, so I ordered an amazing bed off  Etsy.
It arrived a few weeks ago.

It may not look like it but it's still pretty roomie inside. I'm going to try and make a small table and chair for the house. I was even thinking of adding on to the house with another room . This house is big enough to hold a petite Blythe doll :) Once I make a few more of these houses I'm going to start adding big bay windows and all kinds of stuff. This was my first attempt !
